Professor Pickle is a small, locally owned business in the heart of Lubbock, TX run by Professor Joshua Cruz and his wife, Stephanie. Josh is a professor of education with Texas Tech University, while Stephanie primarily runs Mrs. Spice and Professor Pickle. The story of Professor Pickle began in 2020. Like many folks during the pandemic, we found ourselves with a lot of time on our hands, so we started a small garden in our yard. We had a good harvest that first year, and an abundance of cucumbers. Josh came up with a delicious pickle recipe and we shared the finish products with friends who encouraged us to start a small business, and thus, in 2021, Professor Pickle was born.

Our pickles are grown locally and made with organic spices. We strive to provide the highest quality product possible and use only the freshest ingredients whenever possible.

We currently offer three types of pickles: bread & butter, dill, and our spicy habanero (see more information below). We also offer custom orders such as extra spicy, sugar free, fermented, spears, or chunks. If you have a special request, please do not hesitate to ask, we are more than happy to accommodate if possible. We do ask that custom orders be prepaid either by phone or in person.
