Sustainability Practices

Professor Pickle and Mrs. Spice products are made with the environment and your health in mind using primarily biodegradable materials and minimal plastic. Whenever possible, Mrs. Spice uses organic produce and spices.

Professor Pickle and Mrs. Spice subscribe to a local recycling company. All unused plastic, glass and packaging is recycled and processed for reuse. All produce scraps are composted and used toward the growth of future produce.

Professor Pickle and Mrs. Spice participate in composting. Any viable food waste is added to our compost and used in the next growing season. This provides natural, chemical-free food to the products we grow, and helps keep food waste, which gives off methane gas out of our landfills.

Recycling Program

Professor Pickle and Mrs. Spice uses glass jars and avoids plastic and waste whenever possible. Mason jars (unfortunately not spice jars) may be returned to or refilled by Professor Pickle or Mrs. Spice for a $1 discount off of your next jarred product.

All jarred products have removable labels for easy reuse!
